First established in England back in 2005, the DWM brand has evolved from a single individual based in a small home business in his parents garden, into a much larger business offering 1-to-1 Musical Instrument Tuition along with Audio Recording and Editing Facilities.

When DWM Academy, UK, first opened its doors it immediately took on many students helping them to achieve their goals of learning to play an instrument for the very first time. Many of them would stay on an learn even more great things, and some learned just enough to make them happy. Either way, DWM was very happy and privilidged to have taught them all.

Over the following years, DWM would evolve into larger facilities and would also be taking on larger clients, and even touring Europe with a few well known bands and indivuals.

After making a name for itself, DWM was approached by a larger company to work in collaboration, and their professional relationship blossomed and lasted for many years recording and producing music for many artists.

In 2015 DWM relocated to Germany where it immediatly started to set down new roots creating a strong foundation for the company to start again as it entered into its new European Chapter.

As English music conservatories, schools, and academies have played a significant role in the development of Western music theory, classical performance, and modern genres, DWM prides itself on its vast knowledge of both practical and theoretical music, along with its unique English Teaching Styles and Multi-Cultural experience and musical influences.

And ... with Germany being the birthplace of many of the great composers; Bach, Beethoven and Brahms, and also leaders within the modern music technology world, it was only natural that DWM would move here to not only embrace the history of German music and culture, but also aid in landscaping its future, however big or small.

The future of music and how we listen to it is always changing, however, the beauty of playing an instrument or learning the technology behind the scenes is always something which has to be embraced, and with love; enjoyed, supported and motivated, and that's where DWM Akademie and its staff comes in.

One of our most rewarding moments is when we see a student playing or doing something which they previously couldn’t do, and then, after being taught by us being able to play or do. That makes us very happy and we celebrate it together as a team
